Company Profile Modum Pty. Ltd. was established in 1987 as a result of a desire by our principal - Chris Ilias - to service a niche within the housing alteration and additions industry that experience had shown him was being neglected. Market trends demanded more than the “box in the roof” solutions based on unsympathetic design and construction techniques. The distinct nature of period housing in the inner suburbs of Sydney required sympathetic design solutions and traditional methods of construction.  Since its inception, Modum’s designers, project managers, sub-contractors and suppliers have all embraced the company’s original objective to provide a design and construction service based on a commitment to quality, service and integrity of workmanship. A commitment that has given Modum an enviable reputation within the industry for providing excellence of product at an affordable price. Testament to this excellent reputation is the high level of referrals from previous clients. Flexibility is what distinguishes Modum from other builders. A large sector of our construction portfolio is based on alterations and additions of varying sizes and complexity. However, at Modum we also have a proven track record in our ability, capacity and expertise to handle projects from the smallest additions, to large and complex renovations, new houses, townhouses, small commercial projects and service stations. Many of our projects are designed and documented “in house” by our multi-award winning designers. Where construction schedules permit, Modum has and will continue to provide competitive tendering and undertake work on projects designed elsewhere. However, Modum will only commit to projects that we believe are suited to our capabilities and will not compromise our reputation for quality, design and construction excellence.
